Join us to support New American neighbors facing food insecurity. Volunteer with our monthly grocery support drive to help sort, pack, and deliver culturally responsive groceries across the Denver metro area. Your time makes a direct impact for families who need it most – and it’s a great thing to do with your family, friends, or co-workers on a Saturday. Kids are welcome!
Volunteering at the Downtown Denver Islamic Center food pantry means showing up for your community in a meaningful way. You’ll work alongside other committed people to receive food, stock shelves and assist with customer service. New American families will get access to the food and support they need to thrive in Denver.
Sign up for a shift that fits your schedule, or reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Emily Martin, if you have any questions. We’d love to have you and your family join us in making a positive, welcoming difference!
“Volunteering with DDIC has been an amazing way for me to spend quality time with my kids. We got to step outside our usual routines and see firsthand how welcoming and helping new American families can really open your eyes. My kids absolutely loved it, and I know they’ll remember the experience for a long time. It’s been such a rewarding and eye-opening journey for all of us.”
